It was 8th September 2000, people were making their way to the house of Ken. The reason? 'Twas the night of The Second Annual Ketom Gambling Evening...
Now just to remind you Nick won the first event back in 1999, and though he had a good run of things he didn't win this time. The victor... Deeksy! (aka Ian Deeks). He took the trophy home with pride, along with the other prize, a slab of chocolate.
The player who suffered the worst luck on the night was Sam Boulby, who came last, and if memory serves he also lost the first time around.
The evenings are looking set to be an annual event, one which will capture the hearts and minds of those who take part, a challenging event not fit for the weak. We await the Third Evening...
